In May the CGA Prestige Foodservice Price Index recorded a nine percent wholesale food price inflation which has been the highest in nine years. It has fallen since then to 7%. While meat, dairy, oils and fats, cheese and eggs have risen in inflation, things like sugar, cocoa, and fruit has fallen. The CGA feels the inflation was mainly due from Brexit.
