Facebook has launched the ability to order food directly from its platform. The new feature is available on iOS, Android and the desktop site. The option is in the Order Food section of the Explore now tab. People can look through food options and click start order when they are ready to order. Facebook is partnering with actual delivery services that will fulfill the orders. If a restaurant has multiple services the consumer can pick which one they want to use.

The Starbucks Foundation has recently launched the “Upstanders Challenge” which will award twenty five $25,000 grants to non profit organizations. The winners will be chosen based on “buzz” of the projects from various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can enter the challenge by uploading a video between October 9 and 31. The video does not need to be professionally produced. The first 200 videos submitted will also win a Starbucks gift card for participation.
