Up-and-coming food trends are often birthed in New York City. McDonald’s is now appealing to millennial’s snapchat addiction to promote its brand and hire employees. Due to its past success, it is accepting job applications in the form of creative Snapchat videos called Snaplications. This creative strategy has lead to a vast increase in application numbers. McDonald’s is innovating and keeping up with the new media marketing techniques to spark the interest of the largest demographic. The goal is not solely to promote their brand, but to also teach useful skills for the employee’s future careers and assist with educational goals. McDonald’s has undoubtedly stepped up the game for other franchises to compete with.
