With the growth of the restaurant industry, there may be room to move up to a managerial position, but you still need to get the job. This post on Foodservice.com reveals the key message you need to get across when talking to a recruiter: You will not fail.

First of all, show that you have experience leading in some capacity. Also communicate a dedication to the tougher parts of the job like long hours and never-ending work. Lastly, make sure you go in prepared with stories of how you saved your previous employers money. This way, you’ll show that you did a manger’s job before you ever even got one.
