Fewer high schoolers, more elderly workers in restaurants

Many aspects of the food service industry are in the midst of change, and one rather interesting trend has to do with the age of the average food service employee. Teenagers have traditionally filled the role of server or dishwasher, but teenage employment has declined across the board. Taking their place are people aged 55 and up.
