In any culture, it is common for trends to cycle through in the arts. You can clearly see this fashion as some silhouettes that were popular in the not-too-distant past seem so out of style today. Our music has changed significantly as well in the last couple of decades as well.

Our lifestyles have become very tech-dependent and sped up as fast is the new slow. All of these changes also affect the trends in the food industry and how we eat. At one point in history, it was common that families at the majority of their dinners at home around the table.

But as schedules got busier and the demands outside the home grew, families opted for quicker restaurant options that would allow them to have that same family-style feel with a lot less work and waiting for a parent in the kitchen to finish the meal.

Pushing even further into the present, we see many young people juggling multiple commitments and eating food on the go, which may make sit-down restaurants feel like they are a dying breed. However, sales for a popular sit-down chain show the exact opposite.
