10 Times to Be Thankful When You Are a Server

Being a server is a hard job, but there are still things to be thankful for. One example is serving a large party and having it all go on one check and having someone ready to pay the party’s tab. Another example is when people decide not to come and eat when they find out closing time is in just a few minutes. Lastly, it’s always great when a newborn comes in and stays asleep while their parents dine. These are just a few examples of the things servers can be thankful for!

Key Takeaways:

  • When they see no one else in the restaurant, they ask what time you close. You meekly respond, “in five minutes.” They decide to go elsewhere because they know that staying would make them awful people.
  • You are starving and have been working an endless double. In the window is a plate of nachos that makes your mouth water.
  • A couple with a newborn baby rolls into your section and the baby stays asleep the whole damn time.
