Tackling the Problem of Employee Turnover

It’s impossible to eliminate employee turnover in the food service industry. Many employees work in food service while they attend school and pursue other things, never intending to make a career there. Some do, however, and convincing them to stick around can save you money in the long run.

Hiring and training employees is an expensive process – one you want to go through as little as possible. Paying your staff a competitive wage is the single easiest and surprisingly cost effective way to reduce employee turnover. Not only that, being paid more will make your staff happier, which makes them more likely to do an excellent job. That translates to better reviews, more customers, and a more successful business!
