Digital menus offer big benefits

My first encounter with digital menus occurred in the Minneapolis airport as I waited for my flight back to Los Angeles. I found myself surrounded by tablets secured to tables in a variety of seating areas, and it was then I realized just how much handheld technology has penetrated our society. It was beautiful. I was in awe.

Tablet menus are the next big thing. The benefits far outweigh the negatives. The initial cost may be high, but so is the potential payoff, especially during the busiest times when speed is a necessity.

Obviously, tablet menus can do far more than traditional menus. Multiple photographs and nutrition information are accessible at the customer’s fingertips. Ordering and payment can be done directly from the device, allowing staff to focus more quality time on interacting with customers. It streamlines the dining experience and results in more sales. Not only that, you will be attracting millennials with your tech savvy.

Genghis Grill has embraced this technology and has tablets installed in 76 restaurants in over 20 states. They boast a 30 percent improvement in table turns.

Digital menus are the future. If you’re looking for a way to get ahead of the curve, this is it.
