3 Reasons Restaurant Sales Plummeted in February

In February, same-store restaurant sales fell by almost 4 percent while guest checks only grew by 1.2 percent. Consumers are experiencing the effects of inflation, which may be driving the decline in restaurant traffic. The restaurant industry may face labor challenges as well due to the Trump administration’s immigration policy—25 percent of restaurant workers were not born in the US.
