Economy Looks Brighter, but Consumers Still Cautious

Consumers are noticing the economic upswing and are prepared to begin spending again. Some encouragement is required, though, as even though the consumers wish they were eating out more often, they are not quite prepared to do so. Disposable income is growing moderately, but inflation adjusted household income remains down. Restaurants are predicted to see a 4.3% growth over the year, reaching $799 billion.
